Meet the CTL Team

Emily Soltano, PhD
In her role as Director, Emily provides leadership internally and externally for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). She chairs the CTL Advisory Committee, which keeps the CTL mission informed by diverse faculty perspectives and aligned across the curriculum. Additionally, Emily facilitates the New Faculty Orientation, Early Career Teaching Fellows, George I. Alden Excellence in Teaching Award initiatives, as well as semi-annual faculty development institutes.
In her free time, Emily practices yoga and knits.

Julie Habjan Boisselle, MLS
Julie curates resources and creates programming to support faculty growth and inclusive, innovative pedagogy. One of Julie’s favorite things to do is facilitate learning communities and book discussions to connect faculty from different disciplines. Recent topics have included alternative grading and generative AI. Send suggestions her way!
In her free time, Julie enjoys exploring nature through running and photography.

Mary Fowler, PhD
In her role as Faculty Fellow for Equity, Mary provides support to individual faculty, departments, and programs in the multiple aspects of diversity, equity, inclusion, intersectionality, as well as social justice efforts. Programs offered this year include syllabus review sessions and equity coffee house discussions.
In her free time, Mary enjoys yoga and cooking.

Vina Le
Vina is currently pursuing her Master’s in Management with a Concentration in Accounting at Worcester State University.
At the Center of Learning and Teaching, she supports CTL staff with research and maintaining correct records for the Certificate of Attendance. Additionally, she assists with the Research Advisory Board and will help organize and plan the Celebration of Scholarship and Creativity.
In her free time, she enjoys baking and watching animation movies.
