As a parent, sibling, or grandparent of a Worcester State University student, Family Weekend is a great opportunity to discover or enjoy your students’ home away from home. Spend time with your student while eating brunch in the Sheehan Hall dining hall, watching a football game, or having your caricature drawn at the Family Fair. The Student Affairs Division invites you to join us on campus for this wonderful autumn tradition. Online Registration is Closed. You can still Register in person on Saturday, September 17 at the Registration table located in the Sheehan Hall Lobby from 9:00am-10:30am.

Join the Worcester State community, Central Mass Striders, and the John J. Binienda Center for Civic Engagement in the Run for a Scholar 5K. All proceeds will support the Binienda Center Scholarship in Community Activism and the Summer Teacher’s Institute in Guyana, sponsored by the Education Department. Students attending these trips will provide service to these countries while representing WSU and the United States. The $20 registration fee includes a t-shirt and prizes for top finishers.Run for a Scholar Form

The Career Services Office's “A Parent’s Guide to Career Planning” presentation will focus on how you, as a parent, can best support your college student’s decision-making process regarding choice of major and career. Concrete, sequential steps of successful career development will also be suggested, beginning in your student’s first year at WSU. There will also be a fun activity for you to complete that will help you to reflect on your own professional choices.
