Modular Building
LOWER CAMPUS
Ghosh Science and Technology Center
97,300 square feet • 5 stories • Constructed in 2000
This building includes several computer labs, 10 clinics, 18 science labs, 4 classrooms, and a 196-seat multimedia auditorium. The departments located at this site are: Biology; Chemistry; Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences; Computer Science; Earth, Environment, and Physics; Health Sciences; Occupational Therapy; and Nursing.
Sullivan Academic Center
110,690 square feet • 3 stories • Constructed in 1965
This building is home to the following academic departments: Business Administration and Economics, Education, English, History and Political Science, Mathematics; Philosophy; Psychology; Sociology; Urban Studies; and World Languages. The building also contains Eager Auditorium, a 166 seat educational and event space, renovated in 2023, and the Sullivan Auditorium, a 768 -seat educational and event space which was renovated in 2024. A renovation was completed in 2005, which upgraded all MEP infrastructures as well as updated the technology in all of the classrooms. Additionally the Math suite was renovated in 2023 and the Interdisciplinary Studies suite was added.
Learning Resources Center

The building currently houses the Library (including the WSU Archives), classrooms and lecture halls, a photography lab, a television studio, Information Technology Services, Publications & Printing Services, Multicultural Affairs, the Mail Center, and Central Receiving & Stockroom. The LRC also contains faculty offices for the Communications, Criminal Justice, and Visual and Performing Arts departments. In 2010, the second floor was renovated to include new library stacks, and new circulation and reference desk areas. The project also provided increased seating for students to use for individual or group study.
Student Center
71,416 square feet • 3 stories • Constructed in 1978
The building houses the administrative offices for Student Affairs, including the Career Development Center and Counseling Services, as well as Student Involvement and Leadership Development, Student Organization offices, Commuter Services, International Programs, the campus Radio Station, Bookstore, and Lancer’s Loft Food Court. It provides lounge areas for students and meeting spaces for the campus community as well as external clients. It has been renovated several times: the Food Court in 2006, the Bookstore and Student Game room in 2007, the second and third floor Student Lounges in 2015, Counseling Services in 2022, Thea’s Food Pantry in 2024, the Veteran’s Lounge, and the LGBTQ+ Community Center in 2025, and the Student Affairs suite in 2026.
Wellness Center

This building includes the Athletics Department office suite, athletic trainer’s suite, team locker rooms, batting cages, a 1,500-seat competition gymnasium with a raised walking track, and Starbuck’s Café on the first floor. The second floor houses several classrooms, exercise rooms, a golf simulator room, a multipurpose gymnasium, and access to the track. It also has a two-level, 8,100-square-foot fitness center and outdoor patio seating.
Helen G. Shaughnessy Administration Building
67,066 square feet • 3 stories with a partial 4th floor • Constructed in 1932 • LEED Gold certified
For many years, this was the sole building on the WSU campus. It underwent a major renovation, which was completed in July 2009. In addition to upgrading all MEP and structural infrastructures, the design allowed for a “student mall” on the first floor, where student administrative functions, including Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Registrar’s, Student Accessibility Services, Academic Success Center, and Retention offices, could be located together. University administrative functions that have interaction with visitors and the general public— the President’s Office, Undergraduate Admissions, and University Advancement—are housed on the second floor. The third floor houses all remaining administrative departments, including the Provost’s Office and Human Resources. Graduate and Continuing Education is located on the fourth floor. The building also is home to the Fuller Theater, a 166-seat venue that serves as both a performance and educational site for our Visual and Performing Arts faculty and students.

The parking garage provides 554 spaces of on-campus parking for students and employees. UPPER CAMPUS
Sheehan Hall

Wasylean Hall
109,000 square feet • 6 stories • Constructed in 2004
Wasylean Hall houses 348 students in 2-, 4-, and 6-person suite-style units. University Police offices are located on the first floor. It also features an ice cream shop, 15 student lounges, a function room, a mail room, and a laundry room.
Dowden Hall
57,000 square feet • 5 stories • Constructed in 1990 • LEED Gold certified
This traditional-style residence hall houses 240 students in single-, double-, and triple-occupancy rooms. The building also contains 8 student lounges, a meeting room, and laundry facilities. In 2010, an addition was completed, which added 177 beds in both single- and double-occupancy rooms. Additionally, this project also provided for upgrades to life-safety systems, new MEP infrastructure, and several new student life programming elements, such as a convenience store, student common rooms, and private study rooms. All bathrooms and hallways located in the existing hall also were renovated.
Chandler Village
103,560 square feet • Constructed in 1973
The 26 townhouse-style student housing units with 63 apartments comprise Chandler Village. The units house 440 students and include furnished bedrooms, common living areas, and kitchens. The apartments accommodate 4 to 11 occupants, depending upon unit design. Rooms are either single- or double-occupancy. Renovations during the summers of 2004 and 2005 updated all furniture, millwork, appliances, and flooring systems. The renovations also included the installation of a sprinkler system and hardwired smoke detection in all units as well as complete bathroom renovations.
