The CARE Team
The CARE Team Mission
The Worcester State University Collaboration, Assessment, Response and Education (CARE Team) is a student-centered, collaborative support network dedicated to promoting student well-being through proactive, compassionate, and transparent assistance. Our mission is to assist students in distress, struggling with basic needs, facing unexpected crises, and dealing with academic challenges such as absences, leaves, and returns. The CARE Team coordinates communication and resources across campus departments to provide comprehensive support, focusing on the holistic care and success of every student.
The CARE Team offers a holistic, case-management approach to addressing student concerns by evaluating reported behaviors or situations to assess risk levels and determine appropriate actions and referrals. The CARE Team coordinates resources and follow-ups to ensure a comprehensive response and support from the greater campus community, managing each case individually while balancing the needs of the student.
The CARE Team is not a threat assessment team or responsible for responding to emergencies.
