  • First-Year Student Orientation

This orientation will acquaint you with life at Worcester State University. Whether you’re a campus resident or a commuter, you’ll have the opportunity to meet members of the Worcester State community while participating in academic sessions and workshops that will help you get to know other members of your class year and major. We wrap up the day with evening entertainment.

The 2019 First Year Orientation program has concluded. Any student who did not attend is encouraged to attend a Transfer Orientation program in August.

    Frequently asked questions about orientation

      Transfer Orientation

Our Transfer Orientation is a half-day program that gives you a comprehensive overview of academic and campus life at Worcester State University. Although you likely will have attended first-year student orientation at your previous college or university, it is important to understand that every college is different. Through our Transfer Orientation Program, you will become familiar with our campus and the services we provide.

Registration for Transfer Orientation programs typically opens in June each year.

      Winter Orientation

Attending our January Orientation program helps new students enrolling at WSU mid-year—both transfer students and new incoming students who have not yet attended college—to be fully prepared for the beginning of the spring semester.

By attending this orientation session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about everything that WSU has to offer. The program will guide you through the specific requirements of WSU’s academic programs and provide information on campus services and commuter- and resident-student life.

The Winter Orientation program is scheduled for Wednesday, January 6, 2020. Registration for 2020's Winter Orientation is now open:
